A home win against already eliminated Angola combined with a Gabon victory over DR Congo is the magic combination that will clinch an Africa Cup of Nations spot for Gambia at the finals in Cameroon. Tied with Gabon at the top of Group D on seven points, Gambia are only one point ahead of DR Congo, who are eager to steal a qualification spot from the top two teams. While Gambia’s opponents Angola only have one point from four games, coach Tom Saintfiet indicated that the Palancas Negras will be a dangerous opponent but his charges will be ready.
