Ivorian forward Jean Evrard Kouassi continued the momentum from a fantastic senior national team debut for Cote d’Ivorie into a standout performance for his club, scoring to help Wuhan FC to a 1-1 road draw at Hebei in their Chinese Super League season opener Friday. Prolific form in Chinese football helped the 26-year-old return to the attention of the Ivorian national team and he marked his debut with a goal in AFCON qualifying against Ethiopia last month.
