Namibia not perturbed by ‘hosting’ Congo in Soweto

Senegal are the team to beat in Group H of the CAF section of FIFA World Cup qualifying, and Namibia and Republic of Congo will be doing all they can to keep pace with the Teranga Lions when they clash on Thursday. With Senegal defeating Togo on Wednesday, the Brave Warriors of Namibia need to overcome being unable to host their home matches and obtain a victory in Johannesburg for their “home” opener against Les Diables Rouges.

While Namibia appear to have a mostly full strength squad, Republic of Congo and manager Paul Put will be without star forward Thievy Bifouma as the team brings in lesser experienced players to examine the depth of the player pool. SuperSport has the pre-match comments from Namibia manager Bobby Samaria as well as a recap of the recent history between the teams.
