Nigeria’s Super Eagles will need to be at their sharpest to wrap up the second round of FIFA World Cup qualifying in first place in Group C when they take on Liberia at a neutral location followed by a matchup against Cape Verde at home. Manager Gernot Rohr named his list of 24 players for the encounters, and striker Odion Ighalo is back in the side for the first time since the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations tournament. The Saudi-based Ighalo will be one of many striking options Rohr has to pick from, which may or may not include star Victor Osimhen, who picked up a calf injury while competing for club side Napoli.
