Al Ahly’s Walter Bwalya terminates contract with Yeni Malatyaspor

Al Ahly forward Walter Bwalya is back at the Egyptian club after his loan to Turkish side Yeni Malatyaspor was terminated over the weekend. The 26-year-old Congolese international failed to make an impact in Turkey’s top division and appeared exclusively as a substitute for the team currently sitting in last place on the table, scoring zero goals in nine appearances. Bwalya will not be able to play for Ahly upon his return because the African champions have used up their allotment of foreign player slots, meaning he will likely go back on loan again.
