‘Believe and you will conquer Africa,’ says Senegal’s Diouf

The 2021 Africa Cup of Nations could be the edition where Senegal finally captures their first title in Africa’s showcase tournament, but former Teranga Lions legend El-Hadji Diouf stated his belief in the squad to get the job done if they believe in themselves. Diouf, who missed a penalty kick in 2002 when Senegal lost in the final to Cameroon on a penalty kick shootout, acknowledged the talent in the Senegal squad as the team prepares to try and improve on a second runner-up finish in 2019.
