Following their devastating 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifying playoff defeat to Cameroon in Blida, Algeria are looking for a fresh start elsewhere by changing their venue for national team matches. The Olympic Stadium in Oran will host home matches for the Fennecs during qualifying for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations where they will host Uganda, Niger and Tanzania in Group F.
