Ivory Coast national team star Franck Kessié enjoyed an excellent 2021-22 Serie A season at AC Milan and the midfielder was recognized for leading the Rossoneri to their first Serie A title since the 2010-11 season. The 25-year-old was awarded as the best African player in Serie A during the past season by the Calcio Ball Trade, an excellent way to wrap up the Ivorian’s season before he heads off to Spanish giants FC Barcelona.
Kessié made 39 appearances for Milan in all competitions and played a crucial part in their title-winning campaign. He bid goodbye to Milan supporters on social media and an announcement of his move to Barcelona is coming up but has been delayed due to the Catalan club’s issues with meeting Financial Fair Play regulations.
