Major League Soccer and the USL Championship are rolling towards the end of their regular seasons and this past week saw some African players distinguish themselves. 21-year-old Ghanaian forward Kwadwo Opoku had a standout week for top MLS side Los Angeles FC to continue a breakout year that has seen him score 7 goals and provide 3 assists in 26 appearances. The player popularly known as “Mahala” is doing well to come in and make an impact in a team filled with attacking stars including Carlos Vela, Gareth Bale and Christian Arango.
