Mohamed Bayo training with Lille reserve side following breach of discipline

After appearing in only two matches for new club Lille, striker Mohamed Bayo is in hot water with his new team following their 7-1 dismantling against French Ligue 1 giants Paris Saint-Germain over the weekend. The 24-year-old Guinea national team marksman was fined and sent to train with the reserve team, missing out on the PSG defeat after being seen out less than 24 hours before the match.

Bayo will be unavailable for the first team until further notice and it marks a nightmare start to his spell at Lille to go along with failing to score in his first two starts for the club from northern France. Lille have four points from their first three games in the 2022-23 Ligue 1 season and will need to find their form soon. The club struggled last season with a tenth place finish and spent over $15 million on Bayo to add to their strike force following his success at Clermont Foot.
