French outlet L’Équipe reports that Zimbabwe national team and Olympique Lyon striker Tino Kadewere is set to complete a loan move to Spain’s La Liga with Real Mallorca on Sunday. The 26-year-old found himself relegated to the margins of the Lyon squad last season due to injuries and poor form, only scoring one goal in twenty appearances as the club slumped to a disappointing eighth place finish.
L’Équipe reports that Mallorca will hold a purchase option amounting to €10 million if Kadewere reaches a certain amount of appearances for the club. Mallorca finished just above the relegation zone last season and are currently in seventh place with four points from three games following Saturday’s 2-0 victory over Rayo Vallecano.
