Senegal national team forward Boulaye Dia is earning plenty of supporters since making the move to Italian Serie A side Salernitana and came up big with a goal and two assists in the team’s dominant victory over Sampdoria on the weekend. African players continued to make major contributions in other European leagues with FC Nantes’ Moses Simon and Mostafa Mohamed contributing to a Ligue 1 victory while Ghanaian striker Abdul-Aziz Yakubu continued his torrid form by being involved in all three of Rio Ave’s goals in a surprise victory over FC Porto in Portugal’s Primeira Liga.
