The 2022 CAF Women’s Champions League draw was conducted on Friday by CAF with seven of the eight teams determined through qualifying. The competition is set to take place in Morocco starting in October and host club ASFAR were drawn in Group A with Tanzania’s Simba Queens, COSAFA champions Green Buffaloes of Zambia and Liberian club Determine Girls. Group B will see defending champions Mamelodi Sundowns of South Africa take on Nigeria’s Bayelsa Queens, Wadi Degla of Egypt and a representative from the UNIFFAC region that is yet to be determined.
With a substantial amount of prize money up for grabs in the 2022 competition, the second edition of the CAF Women’s Champions League figures to have more of a competitive edge to it compared to the test run that was the 2021 edition. See both groups below:
