An extended spell on the sidelines due to injury postponed Morocco national team central defender Nayef Aguerd’s debut for West Ham United but the former Rennes star is providing a timely boost for the London club’s relegation fight. Aguerd headed in the only goal for the Hammers in their 1-0 victory over Southampton and temporarily eased the pressure on head coach David Moyes, moving West Ham out of the relegation zone for now.
