The African Sports Centre for Data, Research & Technology is a champion of bringing data and scientific analysis into an integrated approach for the development of sports in Africa. To put forth an example of its approach, the ASC released a detailed report on the Ghana national football team’s player pool by analyzing 74 Ghanaian footballers who ply their trade in 37 different leagues among 26 countries. The players profiled include established national team stars such as Thomas Partey, Mohammed Kudus and other Ghanaian players based in European football as well as domestic-based stars like Abdul Fatawu.
