Amaju Pinnick declines to run for another term as Nigeria Football Federation chief

After a nearly eight year spell as the President of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), it appears that Amaju Pinnick will step down at the end of his term this year. The administrator from Delta State stated on a Nigerian television show that his family does not support him running for re-election after the 51-year-old previously won a second election campaign in 2018. Pinnick was also the First Vice President of the Confederation of African Football (CAF) between September 2018 and July 2019 and it appears his reign as the head of Nigerian football will come to an end with reception to his spell mixed among Nigerian supporters.
