A 1-0 defeat of Étoile du Sahel in their last CAF Confederation Cup fixture has inspired Burkinabé power club Salitas to a three-match winning run with two league victories as well. Now in excellent position to move into the top spot in the Burkinabé top division, the Ouagadougou-based side is in Dakar for a Group C duel against ASC Jaraaf. Looking to keep pace with the Tunisian clubs in the group, including CS Sfaxien in first place, Salitas will need to get a result against a Jaraaf side that is struggling quite a bit in league play and needs a win to keep their continental aspirations alive.
Wiwsport has a video interview in French with the manager of Salitas, Ambass Ouedraogo, about the Burkinabé club’s ambitions to achieve a win and maintain hope of advancing to the knockout stage of the CAFCC. The website also has pictures of the club’s arrival in Dakar.
