The championship stage of the Ligue 1 Côte d’Ivoire season is down to one more fixture following this weekend’s action and it looks like traditional powerhouse club ASEC Mimosas will take the crown. A goal in each half helped Les Jaunes et Noirs to a 2-0 victory on Sunday against SO de l’Armée, who defeated FC San Pedro to pave the way for ASEC to take full ownership of first place. Singoné Tosseta nodded in a cross in the 30th minute to give ASEC the lead and a dreadful own goal against SOA occurred early in the second half when a desperate clearance went off another defender and into the goal.
ASEC are on nine points and lead San Pedro by two points with the two teams set to meet for the final match on Saturday. Check out highlights of ASEC’s win over SOA below.
