After suffering a setback against RS Berkane last week, Hassania Agadir got back to surging up the Botola Pro table, delivering a solid performance in their 2-0 road victory over AS FAR in Rabat. HUSA move to a tie on points with Friday’s opponents on 20 points in third place and last week’s loss is their only defeat in 2021. In the day’s other game relegation candidates Renaissance Zemamra’s positive performance saw a goal disallowed by VAR in their 1-1 draw against mid-table Maghreb Fez, a result that will disappoint the struggling hosts.
In Hassania Agadir’s victory, an uneventful first-half with HUSA controlling possession gave way to a more efficient attacking effort from the visitors. An excellent cross from the left-flank was headed home with emphasis by veteran defender Amine Sadiki in the 61st minute to open the scoring. Substitute Zouhair Chaouch wrapped up the three points with an deflected shot in the 82nd minute.
Highlights of both games from Friday are below.
