Botola Pro: Raja Casablanca get a much needed offensive spark

Coming into Saturday’s Botola Pro clash at Jeunesse Sportive Soualem, Raja CA had not scored multiple goals in a league match since the opener against Olympique de Safi on September 4. After Gibril Sillah opened the scoring for JSS in the opening fifteen minutes the Green Eagles woke up and scored four goals in a 4-1 victory. Mohamed Nahiri converted from the penalty spot and Mohamed Zrida gave the visitors the lead before halftime. Zakaria Hadraf and Soufiane Benjdida finished off the victory for Raja, who jumped into fourth place with twelve points from eight matches.

In Saturday’s later match Maghreb Fez came out with a tightly contested 2-1 win at home against Mouloudia Oujda. Veteran forward Mohamed El Fakih and Oussama Darfalou each finished from the penalty spot for the Yellow Tigers who move level with Raja into the top-5. On Friday, Olympique de Safi and Difaâ El Jadida played to a scoreless draw and Hassania Agadir found a winner in second half stoppage time from Aziz Kaidi to defeat Chabab Mohammédia 2-1.
