Burkina Faso national team attacker Stéphane Aziz Ki joins Tanzanian champions Young Africans SC

Following an undefeated season in the Tanzania Mainland Premier League that saw them break a four-year title drought, Young Africans SC have further fortified their squad with the acquisition of ASEC Mimosas playmaker Stéphane Aziz Ki this week. The 26-year-old Burkina Faso national team member born in Abidjan is coming off an excellent season that saw him score ten goals in all competitions for ASEC, who came just shy of advancing out of Group D into the knockout stages of the 2021-22 CAF Confederation Cup. After making his move to Yanga the attacker will get his opportunity to shine in the 2022-23 CAF Champions League next season.

After making his debut for Burkina Faso in 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifying, Aziz Ki’s excellent form at ASEC earned him a return to the Stallions setup for their opening matches in 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying. Aziz Ki appeared as a substitute in both wins against Cape Verde and Eswatini, scoring a goal in the 3-1 victory over Eswatini. Before his time in Ivorian club football, Aziz Ki was a youth product of Spanish club Rayo Vallecano before playing in the Spanish third tier with San Roque Lepe and spending two years in Cypriot football.
