Caf offers silver lining for Uganda’s continental hopefuls

Uganda’s 42-day lockdown is creating some issues for the top teams in the Uganda Premier League because CAF needs its member nations to submit teams for its continental club competitions within its designated window for next season. The Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) wishes to not end its competitions prematurely due to the lockdown, and CAF has extended the window so that there is the possibility of Ugandan football being able to finish up its club and cup competitions around early August so that the teams that will represent the country in the CAF Champions League and CAF Confederation cup may be submitted. Daily Monitor has more on the tight window that FUFA will be working within in the coming months.
