After ten years of service to Mamelodi Sundowns, 36-year-old midfielder and utility player Hlompho Kekana released a farewell message to fans of the club to signify the end of his tenure at South Africa’s top side. Kekana made over 250 league appearances for Sundowns since joining the club in 2011, distinguishing himself as a favorite of former manager Pitso Mosimane and as a player willing to fill in at any position.
Sowetan Live relays Kekana’s message to the fans and his appreciation for all the winning moments at Sundowns. There is yet to be an indication of Kekana’s next stop, but interest is high within South African club football for the veteran’s services.
