Swedish Allsvenskan club Mjällby AIF have completed the signing of 18-year-old striker Silas Nwankwo from Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) side Nasarawa United, signing the Nigerian striker on a four-year deal. Nwankwo made headlines last season by scoring 19 goals in 34 appearances to finish as the NPFL’s co-leading scorer along with Charles Atshimene. Mjällby finished top last season in the Superettan, Sweden’s second tier, to earn promotion to the top tier.
