A stellar season from Fortune FC saw them dominate the competition in Gambia’s top division and capture the GFA League First Division with games to spare as they wrapped up their season with a scoreless draw against WAA Banjul on Sunday. Fortune will represent The Gambia with the country’s spot in the 2021-22 CAF Champions League while securing a cash prize worth approximately $14,660. Second placed side Elite United will compete in next season’s CAF Confederation Cup after they clinched the runner-up spot on goal differential over Real Banjul in a tight race.
