The Gambia national team will warm up for their opening 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying matches with a friendly match against the United Arab Emirates at the end of May. The Scorpions will play the exhibition match in Dubai on Sunday, May 29 as a final tune up in an extended international window before taking on South Sudan and the Republic of Congo.
Gambia’s opening AFCON qualifier will see them host South Sudan on May 4 in Dakar, Senegal due to the lack of a suitable home venue before heading to Congo for a road test against Les Diables Rouges.
