Nigerian club Enyimba announced earlier this week that it would be next to impossible for the team to travel to Libya in time to honor their CAF Confederation Cup playoff round second leg tie against Al Ittihad, stating that they had written to CAF and Al Ittihad to request a postponement. However, the response was not favorable to Enyimba as CAF announced that the team from Abia State’s request was rejected and that they will forfeit the match, resulting in Al Ittihad advancing to the group stage even after losing the first leg 2-0 in Nigeria.
