Ghana’s preparation for the men’s football tournament at the Summer Olympics continues to hit plenty of rough patches, with a 3-1 defeat to South Korea the latest bump in the road. After suffering 4-0 and 6-0 defeats to Japan earlier in the international break, the Black Meteors are showing a bit more fluidity but the first of their two meetings against South Korea shows that there is still plenty of work to do. The Koreans went up within the opening 20 minutes before receiving a red card in the 39th minute, but that still did not stop the hosts from extending their lead to three goals in the second half before Ghana tallied a late consolation.
