Many of the usual suspects contributed to goals when it came to African players in the American second tier, the USL Championship, but South Africa national team forward Bongokuhle Hlongwane finally made his breakthrough in the top tier Major League Soccer over the weekend. Hlongwane scored his first MLS goal after providing an excellent assist to help Minnesota United defeat Houston Dynamo on the road on Saturday to finally give the SuperSport United some end product for his high energy and work rate.
