Goals and assists from African players in Europe: August 18-21

VfB Stuttgart are looking to avoid a repeat of last season when the German Bundesliga club were locked in a battle against relegation and will be relying on African attacking duo Serhou Guirassy and Silas Katomopa Mvumba. Both players scored to help Stuttgart win their relegation playoff at the end of last season and they picked up from last season over the weekend with two goals each in their club’s first match of the 2023-24 Bundesliga season. French-born striker Guirassy is becoming a key player for the Guinea national team while Silas is breaking into the DR Congo squad.
