Goals and assists from African players in Europe: August 25-28

Taiwo Awoniyi cannot be stopped at the moment no matter the opponent or venue it seems! The Nottingham Forest and Nigeria national team striker found the net yet again for the seventh consecutive English Premier League match as his team fell to a 3-2 defeat at Manchester United on Sunday. The Ilorin native is now in elite company by joining Mohamed Salah and Emmanuel Adebayor as the only African players to ever score in seven consecutive matches in England’s top tier. The 26-year-old now has 14 goals in 33 appearances since joining Forest ahead of their return to the Premier League last season.
