Goals and assists from African players in the Middle East: August 30- September 2

Republic of Congo national team striker Guy Mbenza continues to enjoy a club career that has taken him to North Africa, Europe and now the Middle East ever since leaving top Congolese club AS Otôho in 2018. The poacher found limited success in Europe after making his name at Stade Tunisien in Tunisia but a very successful loan move to Morocco’s Wydad AC won him a CAF Champions League and a move to the riches of Saudi Arabia and now Qatar. Now at newly promoted Qatar Stars League club Muaither SC, Mbenza helped his club to their first victory this season in the top flight with an incredible four goals in Muather’s 5-2 victory over Al-Markhiya.
