Goals and assists from African players in the United States: May 5-7

There were numerous goal contributions from African players over the weekend in the second division of American soccer, the USL Championship, and Cameroonian striker Albert Dikwa is the star in our compilation of goals and assists from African players in the United States this week. The Garoua native attended secondary school at Montverde Academy in Florida after moving to the United States in 2014 at the age of sixteen and was a member of the reserve team of Major League Soccer team Orlando City before thriving at current club Pittsburgh Riverhounds. Dikwa scored twice over the weekend against Monterey Bay to move level with Alex Dixon at the top of the USL Championship scoring charts with seven goals from nine matches.

Also of note was Denis Bouanga continuing his incredible form in Major League Soccer with another goal for Los Angeles FC while Ghanaian central defender Lalas Abubakar found the net for Colorado Rapids. Watch all the goals and assists below.
