In our recap of goals and assists from African players abroad, Saudi Pro League club Al-Tai and their African stars are the focus this week. Former Zimbabwe national team star attacker Knowledge Musona scored twice in Al-Tai’s 3-2 victory over Al-Fateh on Thursday which also saw contributions from Republic of Congo striker Guy Mbenza (a goal and an assist) as well as Algerian playmaker Amir Sayoud (one assist). Musona, Mbenza and Sayoud have combined for 19 of Al-Tai’s 28 goals this season as the club continues to achieve stability in Saudi Arabia’s top division since earning promotion for the 2021-22 season, currently sitting in seventh position. Cameroon national team right back Collins Fai also continues to be an important contributor with four assists this season.
