There was plenty of football during the middle of the week and African players provided plenty of goals and assists in action from the UEFA Champions League, the UEFA Europa League and the Europa Conference League as well as the Saudi Pro League. Senegal’s Abdallah Sima produced an excellent finish for Rangers against PSV while Nigerian teammate Cyriel Dessers assisted the second goal for the Scottish champions. In Saudi Arabia it was a dream first goal for Franck Kessié, a debut strike for Nigeria’s Odion Ighalo and another strong performance from Moroccan striker Abderrazak Hamdallah.
