Inconsistent form continues for Dreams FC in road draw at Ebusua Dwarfs

Dreams FC got off to a positive start with an early goal on Monday but were unable to escape from the Cape Coast Sports Stadium with the full three points in their Ghana Premier League fixture, settling for a 1-1 road draw against bottom-half side Ebusua Dwarfs. An inswinging cross from the right flank created the opener for Dreams in the 6th minute when Agyenim Boateng Mensah leaped up for a well placed header, the 24-year-old’s 7th goal of the season in his debut top flight campaign.

The hosts did well to overcome the early setback and work themselves back into the match. Japanese forward Jindo Morishita had an opportunity to provide the equalizer but there were no runners to meet his 8th minute service across the Dreams goal. Eventually the equalizer came after the break in the 65th minute when a good buildup from Ebusua Dwarfs found Moro Sumaila, who lashed a low effort that bounced off the gloves of Dreams keeper Solomon Agbasi and over him into the net.

Ghana Plus has a detailed match report in the link and highlights are further below. Dreams sit in 7th place with seven points separating them from leaders Asante Kotoko. Ebusua Dwarfs are now two points out of the relegation zone in 13th.
