Les Éléphants of Ivory Coast kept the positive momentum going from their opening match victory over Saudi Arabia in their Summer Olympics campaign by obtaining a valuable point against titans Brazil courtesy of a 0-0 draw on Sunday. Douglas Luiz’s controversial straight red card in the 13th minute helped the Ivorians hold off the Samba Boys and kept the match even until Eboue Kouassi’s late dismissal led to a tense final ten minutes once the numbers were back to even. Now with four points from two games in Group D, Ivory Coast are one point ahead of Germany with a draw or victory required to propel them into qualification from the group stage.
