On Tuesday, the members of Les Éléphants received their participation bonuses, amounting to 57 million CFA Francs ($102,300 approximately) after receiving a bonus for qualifying for the tournament. With praise and financial bonuses paid off on good terms, 33-year-old captain Max Gradel stated that the team is “ready to make Côte d’Ivoire proud in Japan.”
