For the second straight season Tusker FC are champions of Kenya’s FKF Premier League after the Brewers finished the job with Sunday’s 2-0 victory over Posta Rangers. Shami Kibwana and Jackson Macharia scored the goals for Tusker in a shutout win over the mid-table side, giving Tusker their thirteenth domestic league title and a spot in the qualifying rounds of the 2022-23 CAF Champions League.
Tusker completed the season with a 21-match unbeaten run starting towards the end of January that helped them to overtake title rivals Kakamega Homeboyz, including a 2-0 victory over Homeboyz in early May that was crucial during the final stretch. Tanzania national team forward Ibrahim Joshua paced a balanced Brewers attack with ten goals this season along with regular contributions from Kibwana, Macharia and Ugandan forward Deogratious Ojok.
