Ivory Coast are embracing their opportunity to compete in the upcoming Summer Olympics and the squad the Elephants will bring reflects how much they desire to make an impact and compete. Much of the Ivorian squad is European-based and the full allotment of three overage players will be used to bring in important senior national team stars including Manchester United’s Eric Bailly, Franck Kessié of AC Milan and veteran creative midfielder/forward Max Alain Gradel. Bailly’s Manchester United teammate Amad Diallo highlights the under-23 component of the squad as Ivory Coast shows their clear intentions to advance out of Group D, where they will compete against Brazil, Germany and Saudi Arabia.
