Teungueth FC can rest easier after their slip up on Saturday against relegation candidates US Gorée with the news of AS Pikine’s Sunday defeat against Jaraaf. 19-year-old Jaraaf forward Pape N’Diaye was among the scorers as the road side jumped out to a 2-0 lead within the opening 15 minutes and held off a second half charge from Pikine for the victory. Pikine could have cut Teungueth’s lead down to four points with a victory but instead were overtaken by Génération Foot, who defeated Diambars 1-0 courtesy of a strike from Jean Diouf, his 9th goal of the season.
Senego has a report on Pikine’s defeat in the first link with the second from Footgal recapping the remainder of Sunday’s action and the weekend in general from Senegal’s Ligue 1. With three matches remaining for most teams the relegation battle in particular grows in intrigue as there are no teams yet doomed to the drop yet.
