Senegal Ligue 1 leaders Teungueth FC have had an outstanding season but finally reached a bump in the road on Saturday, losing 0-1 to US Gorée to put an end to a 9-match unbeaten run. Sitting seven points ahead of AS Pikine, now the second placed side will have an opportunity to slim down TFC’s lead in their home encounter against Jaraaf on Sunday. After Teungueth had the better of the proceedings in the first half but failed to generate a clear cut chance, Alassane Diallo provided an excellent finish right after halftime for Les Insulaires by latching onto a well weighted through ball and lifting his shot over the TFC keeper to make the difference.
