Linafoot D1 : Dauphin Noir vs TPM (2-0), Pamphile Mihayo demande des poursuites contre l’arbitre

Going unbeaten in 8 league matches and defeating title rivals AS Vita Club since their unceremonious exit from the CAF Champions League, it appeared Congolese top club TP Mazembe had their season back on track but this has not been a typical season for the Ravens. On Thursday the “All-Powerful” Mazembe lost focus following the triumphant victory over Vita Club and crashed to an untimely 0-2 defeat against unfancied side Dauphins Noirs, a result that could cost them dearly. With the loss, Mazembe remain a point behind Vita Club and have played one more match than their rivals from Kinshasa.

The match stirred plenty of emotion from both sides. The hosts, Dauphins Noirs, had inspired fan support behind them with the giants from Lubumbashi in town and found the opener just before halftime. A 43rd minute aerial ball was flicked up to Bindala Lokongo Jonathan in the Mazembe penalty area, who did well to hold off his defender, turn and sneak a low shot just beyond the keeper. Soon after the break the hosts from Goma put the match beyond reach with Teji Lutonadio’s tally from the penalty spot in the 48th minute.

Foot DRC has the post-match response from Mazembe coach Pamphile Mihayo, who had plenty to say regarding the referee and even suggested that the man in the middle be subjected to suspension or even legal prosecution for his poor performance with particular attention given to the awarding of the second half penalty kick. Highlights are further down as well.
