Mozambique’s domestic league, the Moçambola, is into its 9th round of matches and Black Bulls are the current standard bearers with only two points dropped through their 9 games this season. The good times continued to roll with a decisive 4-0 destruction of Textáfrica on Saturday with two goals from Ejaita including a penalty kick and an outstanding individual effort to grab the 3rd goal for the hosts.
Ejaita’s penalty kick came just before halftime to deal a devastating blow to a Textáfrica side that put up stiff resistance against the heavy favorites. After the break that resistance crumbled as Fidel tallied in the 47th minute before Ejaita showed his class by leaving two Textáfrica defenders tackling air before putting his shot past the keeper.
Black Bulls are 7 points ahead of nearest competitors Ferroviário de Maputo as the rest of the league catches up on matches played Sunday. A match report from Folha de Maputo is in the link below and highlights are further down. Ejaita’s second goal is certainly worth a view.
