New Downs goal-poacher ‘swayed’ by Nurkovic

The success of Serbian striker Samir Nurkovic in South African club football is undisputed with the 29-year-old’s 16 goals in 47 appearances leading to him being the key man in Kaizer Chiefs attack and surprise run to the CAF Champions League final this season. Now another forward from Eastern Europe, Slovakian Pavol Safranko, has arrived in South African football with champions Mamelodi Sundowns and is giving South African football a chance based on the recommendation of Nurkovic.
