No problem for Simba as Tanzanian domestic leaders roll to victory over Mbeya City

Simba SC cruised to yet another victory in the Ligi Kuu Tanzania Bara on Tuesday with a 4-1 thrashing of Mbeya City at the Benjamin Mkapa National Stadium in Dar es Salaam. All the usual suspects were involved in the goals for Simba with Mozambican winger Luis Miquissone, John Bocco and Clatous Chama among those contributing. Simba remain 6 points ahead of rivals Young Africans with two matches less played than the second placed side.

A 30th minute cross was knocked around the Mbeya City penalty area before Larry Bwalya attempted a shot from outside the box. His effort was blocked but Bwalya followed up to knock in the rebound as the hosts opened the scoring. Less than five minutes later Miquissone stole the ball from an unsuspecting defender before unleashing a shot that was parried off the post by the opposition keeper. However, Miquissone was quickest to respond and faster than everyone else, following up to score on the rebound.

Soon after halftime John Bocco tallied his 14th goal of the season by being on hand and unmarked to convert a low cross for an easy strike. Mbeya got one back courtesy of slack passing out of the back from Simba but Zambian playmaker Chama converted an easy finish from an excellent team buildup to make it 4-1 in the 85th minute.
