Zimbabwe forward Khama Billiat says they will approach their 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifying fixture against Kenya knowing exactly what is at stake.

The Warriors of Zimbabwe are on the verge of sealing their ticket to the 35th edition of the African tournament in Morocco as they sit second in Group J behind leaders Cameroon.

While the Indomitable Lions punched their ticket following two consecutive wins against Kenya's Harambee Stars in October, Zimbabwe will follow them in the group if they manage to beat Kenya in matchday five and hope they get a draw against the five-time African champions in their final group fixture.

“It is a very important game, I think this is very important out of them all and we are glad that it is something (the situation) is in hour hands,” said Billiat ahead of their Friday fixture against Kenya at Peter Makoba Stadium in Polokwane City on Friday, November 15.

“It is something that we are able to control and we will go into this game (against Kenya) knowing very well what is at stake and we know very well that it is one of the most important game in our life, so we will try as best as we can to concentrate, be calm and come good on the day.”

On making his return to the Zimbabwe squad during the qualifiers, Billiat said: “It feels good and I want to thank the team, the technical bench, the players and everyone back home and all Zimbabweans for accepting and making me feel comfortable, the love they are showing is out of this world.”

With Cameroon managing a 0-0 draw against Namibia at Orlando Stadium in South Africa on Wednesday, Zimbabwe are now three points behind the Indomitable Lions while Kenya are third in the group with four points and Namibia last with a single point.
