President of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) Kurt Okraku is rallying support for the senior national team ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Chad and Madagascar this month.
The four time African champions will resume the qualifiers against Chad on March 21 at the Accra Sports Stadium before taking on Madagascar in Morocco on the 24th as the battle for an automatic World Cup slot intensifies.
Speaking to a group of supporters as part of efforts to mobilize support, Okraku emphasized the importance of unity and encouragement. “If we show the Black Stars love and support, they’ll win the games against Chad and Madagascar,” he told the fans.
His appeal comes at a critical time, with Ghana looking to build momentum after recent struggles in major tournaments. Ghana failed to qualify for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations for the first time in over a decade.
Currently, the Black Stars are tied at the top of Group I with Comoros, both sitting on nine points.
Their recent victories over Mali and the Central African Republic (CAR) have boosted confidence, and Okraku believes continued support from fans will help the team maintain their winning form.
