Athletic Club forward Inaki Williams has vowed to score for Ghana in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier against Chad on Friday, March 21.

Inaki has struggled to replicate his club form playing for the Black Stars since switching nationality. Having made his debut for the four-time African champions in September 2022, Williams has scored just once in 17 appearances.

In a video shared by the Ghana Football Association (GFA) ahead of the game, Williams said, “Hello, Ghanaians. How are you doing? I’m home. On Friday, I’ll score a goal. See you.”

The Black Stars will host Chad at the Accra Sports Stadium in a must win situatin that will boost Ghana’s chances of securing a ticket in the 2026 World Cup to be staged in Mexico, Canada and USA.

The next fixture will see Ghana travel to Morocco, where they will face current group leaders Madagascar in a tough encounter on Monday, March 24.

Ghana currently sits in third place, level on nine points with second place Comoros.
