Namibia coach Collin Benjamin is wary of the threat controversial striker Emilia Ensue could pose to the Brave Warriors when they face Equatorial Guinea on Monday, March 20, 2025.

The Namibians welcome the Nsue-led Equatorial Guinea in a Group H clash in South Africa with both teams coming from wins last week.

Ahead of the match, Benjamin cited Nsue, who is back after being banned from representing the West Africans, as a threat. He scored alongside yet another star Ivan Salvador in the 2-0 win over Sao Tome on March 20, 2025.

“It is not a secret that Equatorial Guinea have good individual players and a good strong confident team. They like playing the ball and they have Nsue. He scored against Sao Tome. He is a talisman,” Benjamin told the media.

After being ruled ineligible by FIFA to represent the Equatorial Guinea national team in May, all-time leading scorer Nsue is back with Nzalang Nzalang.

Sao Tome anchor the table with no point from five games, whereas Equatorial Guinea sit in fifth place with three points, three behind Malawi and five behind second-placed Namibia.

Another match for the group will see leaders Tunisia welcoming Malawi also on Monday.
